Golfer Paul Casey moves up to third in world rankings

British golfer Paul Casey has jumped up to third in the world golf rankings after his victory at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.The 31-year-old player has now moved up from 41st at the start of the year to his current position of third in the world's top ten golfers, behind Phil Mickelson in second and Tiger Woods in first.
He has now scored more ranking points this season than any other player and also rated at number eight in terms of earnings on the PGA Tour with $2,299,950 (£1.456 million).
Speaking to Reuters after his PGA tour victory on Sunday (May 24th), Casey said: "I have lots of things to try and accomplish.
"Certainly success in a major is at the top of that list and there are so many tournaments we have with great history or that are on great courses."
The golfer also recently tasted victory at events in Houston and Abu Dhabi, while he will have high hopes ahead of the US Open in New York next month.
