Fans may be unsurprised to hear that pink is something of signature colour for Ian Poulter, with regards to the golf clothing that he wears during competitions.Speaking to Nola.com, the professional golfer explained that he has never had a problem wearing the traditionally feminine colour and finds it fun to match up the hues on his ensemble.
Poulter, who is described by the website as the golfer most like a peacock, pointed out that most tournaments that he takes part in will see him sporting some sort of pink golf apparel, which can range from marshmallow pink to hot pink.
"It was a colour I wanted to wear a few years ago, but it wasn't really that acceptable then. It is now and I like the fact of that," he was quoted as saying.
This week, Poulter revealed that he will not be boycotting the Wentworth stop of the European Tour and is delighted to be playing at the venue for the BMW PGA Championship.
