Player offers advertising space on his golf clothingA player has offered businesses the chance to buy space for advertising on his golf clothing.

Steve Parry, an accomplished coach who will be making his debut at the BMW PGA Championship this month, recently spoke to CB Sport about his chances in the event.

He admitted his game had been "nothing short of horrendous" in recent months and set out plans to make some money from his efforts.

Mr Parry still hopes that regional companies will take up his offer and purchase advertising space on his golf apparel, bag, or cap in time for the forthcoming tournament.

"Just imagine how many television viewers would take notice," he told the publication.

However, the Bolton golfer also revealed he had been consulting with his coach to tackle his recent swing problems and expressed hopes that his technical issues would be sorted out in time for the competition.

This comes after Glenmuir-sponsored player Paul Lawrie criticised his performance at the recent Volvo World Match Play Championship, where he lost out to Ian Poulter.
