Chic golf apparel still a requirement on many golf courses.
Published: 20 August 2009
Though different golf apparel trends may emerge - and all sorts of golf accessories may come on to the market - it is still common for many golf clubs to require players to dress smartly on the course.Golf Online reports that some significant changes in the golf world include the switch from brassie, spoon and baffing spoon clubs to metal "woods".
As well as this, other golf clubs have been replaced with "the conventional numbered irons seen in every modern golfer's bag".
However, most golf clubs will insist that players dress smartly, with the source pointing out that many will have a collared golf shirt as part of the required on-course golf apparel.
"Prospective players also need to think about golf clothing before they start wandering the fairways, greens and rough of the likes of Wentworth and Sandwich," the website went on to say.
A number of high-profile golfers, such as Ian Poulter and John Daly, are known for their adventurous golf fashion tastes, with both also having their own golf clothing line.
