Golf hats can bring a unique touch to an outfit.
Published: 12 February 2009
Golf player Johnny Miller, famous for his game in the 1970s, had the "perfect looks and fashion sense" for the age, it has been claimed.Writing for Golf365, Matt Cooper notes Miller's love of bright colours and wide flares, calling him the poster boy of 1970s US golf.
Many golfers are recognisable for the golf fashion they wear when taking to the course.
Items such as golf hats and argyle golf sweaters can help a golfer add a unique touch to their on-green look.
Talking to the site, Miller - who is sometimes nicknamed the Desert Fox - mentions a game played at Pebble Beach in 1994.
His main rival in the match was Tom Watson, but when Miller stepped up to take the potentially winning shot, he found he didn't have the right iron in his golf bag.
"You want to know the truth?" he says. "I can't believe I won. It was a mirage".
