Ian Poulter has received praise for his golf clothing.

Ian Poulter, a member of the winning 2010 European Ryder Cup team and number six in the European golf rankings, has been praised for his golf clothing by one pundit.

Writing in his Bettor blog, columnist Carlos Rome hailed the player as the "star" of this year's Ryder Cup and promoted his outlandish golf apparel.

"The player is famous for his sweeping clothing. The most interesting piece of clothes he owns has a claret jug made on it," he said.

Mr Rome's comments come as he revealed the second part of his top ten hottest men in golf feature, which also included Geoff Ogilvy and Sergio Garcia.

He went on to examine Poulter's love of colours, pointing to the player's spiked red hair and matching gear.

In the first part of Mr Rome's hottest men in golf feature, he revealed Bradley Dredge, Arron Oberholser, Mike Weir and Ricky Barnes to be numbers seven to ten respectively.
