The golf fashion sense and good looks of Surrey golfer Ross Fisher have been recognised by an award for "hottest" player in the sport from one pundit.Writing in his Bettor blog, columnist Carlos Rome named Fisher the best-looking man in golf, citing the player's angelic face and "deep green eyes" but opting not to comment on his golf apparel.
Mr Rome also recounted the 29-year-old's early career, making note of his 2007 KLM Open win and Fisher's victory in the World Match Play Championship.
"In the August of 2010, Fisher won the 3 Irish Open, which earned him a card in the 2010 Ryder Cup. The player was picked by the captain and he helped his team in winning the trophy," he said.
Elsewhere in Mr Rome's list of the sport's hottest men were US golfer Paul Casey and Australia's Adam Scott, who made the top five due to his "curly hair and Satan's eyes".
Born in Ascot in 1980, Fisher was introduced to the sport by his stepfather at the age of three. After he turned professional in 2004, the 29-year-old's victory at the KLM Open gained him 43rd place in the Order of Merit.
