Buoyed by his recent successes, British golfer Ross Fisher has claimed that he could enjoy multiple wins in the future at the US Masters.

The current World Number 22 starts his defence of the European Open today (May 28th) at Kent's London Club.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the event, the 28-year-old said: "Without meaning to sound big-headed, I just have total belief in myself."

He described his first time at the Masters last year as a "great experience", including getting on the leader board after 16 holes at five under par.

"Unfortunately I slipped up with two bogeys at the end of the round but I took a lot from that week," he added.

"I feel I have a good chance of winning at least one, or many, many majors around that course because it does fit my eye really well."

In related news, Irish golfer Shane Lowry will make his professional debut at the European Cup after strong performance on the amateur circuit.
