The kits for the 2010 US Ryder Cup team were unveiled last week in an exclusive event for members of the golf fashion media.Khaki Crusader reports that the team's new golf apparel boasts a "retro" feel and commended the work of Lisa Pavin, who was responsible for the US team's apparel and branding.
The writer of the gold blog expressed their approval of the new design, noting the "abysmal" track record of the uniforms worn by previous US Ryder Cup teams.
"I was surprised to find a collection that was not only cohesive, but spirited," Khaki Crusader said. "While these retro looks are nice, the Sunday ensemble is really the winner of the group."
Last month saw Khaki Crusader take a look at President Barack Obama's love of golf fashion, noting that the world leader often sports golf shirts on his travels.
Although images of the kits are being withheld until later in the month, the golf fashion blogger noted the appearance of cashmere sweaters, reminiscent of the US team's more successful kits of the past.
