The Ryder Cup shirts designed with the help of Glenmuir are set to have an autumnal feel to them, Colin Montgomerie has revealed.

When the teams take to the field for the Ryder Cup this year, the golf apparel they wear will have an autumnal feel to it, according to European captain Colin Montgomerie.

Writing on his Captain's Blog for the European Tour, the golf pro highlighted the input of Glenmuir - an official European Ryder Cup supplier - as being important in terms of the golf clothing his side will sport during the event.

He explained it was a challenge for Glenmuir and the other official partners, since the climate is set to be fairly cool, but in the end the Ryder Cup shirts are set to have an autumnal feel to them.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have worked so hard... in every aspect of the clothing that the team, officials and partners will wear," stated Montgomerie.

This year's Ryder Cup will be played at the Twenty Ten Course at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport from October 1st to 3rd.
