Japanese player Ryo Ishikawa has been hailed for his golf clothing choices.Sean Hotchkiss, writing for the Khaki Crusader golf fashion blog, recently noted that the 19-year-old has gone "under the radar" in terms of style since he abandoned his tendency to mimic his idol Ian Poulter.
The columnist claimed that Ishikawa is one of few players who "really push the limits" in terms of attire and commended him for sticking to his unique aesthetic.
"In my opinion, the young lad's style has matured greatly in the past year and when I saw him at Doral in March, I was impressed with the little details that set him apart from every single other golfer in the field," said Mr Hotchkiss.
The fashion pundit added that Ishikawa's golf apparel boasts "a bit of whimsy" and claimed he was reminded of "cool old Milanese dudes".
Amateurs keen to imitate the young player's style may wish to steer clear of "cheap imitations" after Forbes columnist Tom Barlow warned that fakes are often of significantly less quality than genuine items.
