Schwartzel 'can choose his golf clothing even under pressure'
Published: 13 April 2011
Charl Schwartzel won the Masters at Augusta on Sunday (April 10th) and this may have led to him receiving an increased amount of attention from individuals looking to improve their collection of golf clothing.Writing for Chapeau Noir Golf, Mike McAllister stated that the player had a planned set of apparel set out for the four-day event, which detailed the items he was expected to wear including polo shirts, sweaters, belts and hats.
However, he suggested Schwartzel made a number of changes to his attire and gave the example that the golfer was due to wear a cap on Friday and Saturday but instead chose a visor.
"These guys don't necessarily stick to the script and are quite capable of dressing themselves - even under pressure," he said.
Bloomberg recently suggested that the spikeless footwear worn by Fred Couples and Ryan Moore has not yet been widely adopted among other professionals.
