The classic golf clothing choices of Steve Stricker have been explored.

Steve Stricker's golf fashion choices have come under scrutiny for being so conservative.

The golfer was noted by jsonline.com for sticking with the same tried-and-tested formula when it comes to everything from his use of equipment to coaches and clothing.

Telling the site "I'm not a big changer", it was observed that Stricker started the 2011 season with the same Titleist irons and balls, as well as the same caddie he has worked with for the past six years.

"Same Midwest conservative taste in clothing (khaki slacks, solid-coloured shirts, white golf shoes)," the site pointed out, adding that "he'll have the same curve in the brim of his cap".

However, it claimed that although his golf apparel may not be noetworthy, his success is, as he has won 17 tournaments and ranked as high as world number two during his career.

The 43-year-old has already competed in the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the Sony Open in Hawaii this year, coming fourth and ninth respectively in each.
