The Estoril Open de Portugal has been won by Thomas Bjorn, who wore stylish yet unusual golf apparel on the day.Bjorn commented that it was "certainly nice" to score the victory and he did so wearing an unusual performance golf shirt - the garment was dark blue in a polo style, but had a subtle diamond pattern across the middle of it.
Leading on the penultimate day of the competition, he managed to hold off the challenge of Australian Richard Green to claim his first title in four years.
"Today had its ups and downs, but I pulled it off when I needed to and closed out the tournament quite well in the end," remarked the Dane.
Bjorn has played for the European side in the Ryder Cup, a tournament that Glenmuir is an official supplier for.
The next stop on the European Tour is the US Open Championship at Pebble Beach in California, which will see top players hitting the links in their golf clothing from June 17th to 20th.
