Tiger Woods has been tipped to return from his hiatus, put his golf apparel on and compete sooner than people expect.

Sergio Garcia has suggested that Tiger Woods could find himself back in the golf news by returning from his indefinite hiatus from the sport sooner than people first expected.

Woods has not been seen in public since crashing his car in November 2009 and has taken a self-imposed break from golf amid rumours surrounding his personal life and infidelity.

However, the Spaniard explained that he has a "feeling" the world number one will tee off "earlier than what everybody thinks".

"The best thing for Tiger at the moment is to get on the course and do what he knows best," he added.

He went on to state that the other professionals want him back in competitive golf as, although it makes it slightly easier for them to win when he is not in the field, it adds an extra dimension to a victory when they beat the best in the world.

Garcia currently stands at 13th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
