Tiger Woods wore plain and simple golf apparel at the US Open tournament at Pebble Beach this weekend.

Following months of intense media scrutiny, it is perhaps understandable that Tiger Woods kept his golf apparel plain and simple at the US Open over the weekend. The world number one wore black trousers, a black shirt with red sleeves and his trademark black baseball cap as he took to the links at Pebble Beach during the tournament.
He later sported a sweatshirt - which was, predictably, also plain black - as he sized up a tricky shot in the rough.
Woods tied for fourth position with Phil Mickelson on the final leaderboard, as Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell held off competition from Gregory Havret and Ernie Els to become the first European to lift the trophy for 40 years.
In stark contrast to Woods, McDowell played the tournament in style, sporting pink golf apparel as he kept his nerve during the all-important final putts.
He was not the only player to think pink on the links - 47th-placed Englishman Ian Poulter also showed off his flamboyant dress-sense during the tournament with matching pink trousers and shirt.
