Tim Clark looked smart in striped golf clothing as he pulled out a vintage performance to take the Players Championship.

South African Tim Clark showed nerves of steel to win the Players Championship in Florida and his striped golf clothing and dark trousers made him looked smart as he climbed the podium. The star overtook British favourite Lee Westwood to claim the title with a five-under-par 67 on the final day of the competition, but he looked subtly stylish in a black and white performance golf shirt and black trousers, teamed with a white cap and white shoes.
Westwood had been leading the event heading into the last day, but he ended up finishing fourth on 12 under par, four shots behind Clark.
While there is often a temptation to go with a garish outfit while playing under the bright Florida sun, the champion let his golf do the talking instead to win his first US title.
Meanwhile, world number one Tiger Woods also went for a striped T-shirt for the same competition, but he was forced to withdraw as a result of a neck injury.
