Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy performed well at this weekend's US PGA Championship, earning a respectable joint third and taking the opportunity to show off some neat golf clothing.Day one of the event in Wisconsin saw McIlroy take to the course in an interesting orange and grey striped golf shirt combined with a white pair of golf trousers. He topped the outfit off with a stylish white cap to keep his trademark hair under control.
The next round saw him sport another white combo, sandwiching a bright blue golf shirt as the delays mounted up due to a severe bout of fog.
As the event continued on to its third day, fans saw the pattern continue with McIlroy flaunting the classic white combination with a red centrepiece as he birdied five holes.
In the final round, the 21-year-old opted for a green shirt, complemented by the now-familiar all-white ensemble.
Despite a confident finish of 72 on the championship's last day, McIlroy lost out to American Bubba Watson and event winner Martin Kaymer, who went on to clinch a playoff for the victory.
