Tiger Woods dons his golf apparel and tees off on New York's Bethpage Black golf course, in preparation for the upcoming US Open.

Golfer Tiger Woods showed off his golf clothing style while practising his swing at the Bethpage Black golf course in New York.

Woods is pictured on Newsday wearing grey golf trousers, a blue and white golf shirt and a white golf hat.

The source notes that Woods started well, hitting a "massive tee shot" down the centre of the first fairway.

Woods, who may be one of the most recognisable faces in the game, attracted a small crowd of fans at his practice session.

In total, around 30 people turned out to watch Woods, with many taking pictures of the player on their mobile phones.

Security around the player is tight, with Newsday reporting that he is on the course with two New York State Park police.

The Bethpage Black golf course is praised on Golf Club Atlas, with one writer calling it a "masterpiece" of design with "heroic bunkers".
