Stonebridge Golf Club has been awarded GolfMark status, which could lead to increased sales of junior golf clothing in the surrounding area.

There may be more junior asking for golf clothing soonThere may be more young players in need of golf apparel in Solihull after it was announced that a local club has been awarded GolfMark status in recognition of the training and sporting environment it offers youngsters.

Stonebridge Golf Club, near Solihull revealed it has been working on several projects with primary and secondary schools to get youngsters into the sport, which could lead to more children taking a liking to golf fashion.

General manager at the course Mark Clarke described how his team has done its best to encourage young golfers to have a go and highlighted the club's relationship with Solihull College as being particularly warm.

"The award is a badge which shows everyone in the community that we welcome beginners and provide an enjoyable environment to golfers of all ages," he added.

Another course that recently received GolfMark status is Nelson Golf Club in east Lancashire, reported the Lancashire Telegraph, which could lead to more interest in junior golf clothing in the north-west of England,.
