One budding golfer is to receive golf clothing as part of her prize package following a recent X Factor-style competition.

Golf clothing is among the prizes heading the way of one young golfer with the X FactorOne budding golfer recently secured a prize package including golf clothing, clubs and a year's tuition, reports Manchester Evening News.

The winner in an X Factor-style competition was nine-year-old Katie-Jane Stanley, who showcased her own special skills once the contest itself was over.

Using a small piece of modelling clay, she first balanced one golf ball on top of another on a tee.

She then struck both at once - sending the top ball flying up into the air, while the bottom one disappeared down the fairway.

The finishing touch was to catch the uppermost ball after completing the follow-through on her swing.

In news relating to the real X Factor show, The Sun recently reported contestant James Williams' love of the game.

He spent some £20,000 pursuing the sport before reaching boot camp in the television talent show - which could be enough for a substantial wardrobe of golf clothing.
