Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has attended a celebration honouring Scotland's win in the world amateur championships of golf in Australia, it has been reported.According to the Press Association, the celebratory event coincided with the news that there has been a 30 per cent rise in nine-year-olds taking part in the Scottish Clubgolf programme.
When taking to the golf course, golf fashion could be as important for children as it is for adult golf fans teeing off.
In related news, plans were recently unveiled for a new golf course to be built in a holiday village in Angus - which could give local golf fans an excuse to invest in some seriously stylish golf apparel.
According to Today's Golfer, businessman Mike Forbes is seeking planning permission to build an 18-hole golf course in the area.
Mr Forbes has previously overseen the creation of the Forbes of Kingennie country resort.
