Leading Senior European Tour golfers will be hoping their expertise drives new demand for golf clothing and club membership among youngsters this summer, after details of new coaching clinics were announced by the Golf Foundation.According to the charity, a number of top professionals will run training sessions for British kids of all abilities and backgrounds at various events around the country, including the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship at De Vere Slaley Hall.
They will take place as part of the association's Golf Roots programme, which aims to bring golf into the lives of those who may not previously have had the chance to get involved in the sport.
Brendon Pyle, national development manager of the organisation, said: "The European Tour's backing to stage these clinics presents our development team with a wonderful opportunity to offer new youngsters a taste of golf in the best possible circumstances."
And it could be that kids who become hooked on the game find themselves in need of new golf sweaters, trousers and other golf apparel to wear when on the fairways.
