Catherine Zeta-Jones may inspire cinema enthusiasts to buy golf apparel later this year, as she is set to be involved in the Ryder Cup opening ceremony.

Movie fans may show more interest in the upcoming Ryder Cup competition after it was announced that Catherine Zeta-Jones could appear in golf clothing at the 'Welcome to Wales' opening gala.She is mostly famous for being a sultry star of stage and screen - receiving particular critical acclaim for her role in the musical Chicago - but come September 29th she is more likely to be dressed in a fashionable golf shirt than theatrical garb.
This televised ceremony will feature plenty of other stars of the entertainment world, with Katherine Jenkins confirmed to take part and recently pictured in golf apparel.
Zeta-Jones, who made her name starring in films such as The Mask of Zorro, The Phantom and Entrapment, this year won a Tony Award for best actress in a musical for work in the production A Little Night Music.
She is originally from Swansea, so her return is sure to go down with local fans.
