Golfer Michelle Wie is preparing to get back into the world of professional golf, according to a report.Writing for the Telegraph, Oliver Brown says that the golfer is aiming to resurrect her career, which has been blighted by a wrist injury sustained over two years ago.
He notes that due to the injury, Wie has been making "ludicrously high scores in tournaments she would normally have walked".
Mr Brown also goes on to point out that public sympathy for Wie's injury has not always been high and notes the "stifled laughter" which greeted her tearful performance at the US Open in 2007.
However, when she is playing at her best, Mr Brown comments, she has "an extraordinary swing".
Golfers in both professional and amateur tournaments may find that golf gloves help them to keep a grip on their club when taking a shot.
In the recent Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic tournament in Ohio, Wie closed with a career best of seven under par 64.
