Golfer celebrating after getting two hole in ones during the same round.A golfer from Tynemouth in the north-east of England is celebrating after managing to secure two hole in ones during the same round in a golf game, it has been reported.

Ruth Day, who is 64, managed to get two hole in ones after donning her golf clothing and taking to the Whitely Bay Golf Club in north Tyneside, reported local newspaper The Journal.

According to the source, Ms Day - who has a handicap of 35 - beat odds of around 67 million to one to accomplish the feat.

"The first time it happened, my friend was the one saying 'it's going in, it's going in', but I was relatively ambivalent," she said.

Ms Day bagged the first hole in one on the 149-yard third hole, with the second ball to hit the mark on the 161-yard 13th hole.

Meanwhile, fellow amateur golfer Jason Hargett may be pleased he chose to put on his golf shoes and take part in a charity golf tournament, as he managed to scoop $1 million (£612,219) for being the only player to get a hole in one, reported CBS News.
