Yani Tseng is not a fan of golf skirts
Published: 08 December 2011
Yani Tseng will not be altering her golf clothing choices at an upcoming tournament, she has revealed. The female world number one - who has won seven competitions throughout 2011 - is one of the players to have been invited to take part in the Swinging Skirts 2011 TLPGA Invitational.
However, the Taiwanese professional will not go the traditional way of including a skirt in her golf apparel outfit during the tournament, which gets underway at the Miramar Golf and Country Club in Sinbei on Sunday (December 11th).
"I didn't prepare any skirts because I'm too shy. I’m afraid I won't do well with a skirt on," she stated.
All individuals participating in a competition organised by the body - both male and female - are encouraged to wear either a skirt or kilt, but it appears Tseng will not be following suit.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a successful campaign this year, with two major wins cementing her position as the world's leading female player.
