A raft of high-profile celebrities and important music business executives are set to take part in a new golf tournament organised by pop group the Wyse Gyrls.

A-list stars are expected to grace the St Regis Monarch Beach fairways in their golf clothing, after details of a celebrity golf tournament were announced.The event is scheduled to take place on May 28th at the Californian resort and has been arranged by Wyse Gyrls - a pop group that has established its own academy aimed at transforming at-risk US girls into high achievers.
According to Rhonda Coleman, chief executive officer and executive producer of the group, the First Annual Wyse Gyrls Pink Cashmere Celebrity Golf Tournament will try to promote achievement in education and 'edutainment'.
And the Wyse Gyrls themselves, top celebrities, entertainment and record label executives, high-profile businessmen and women, investors, physicians, lawyers and other esteemed individuals will be in attendance in their golf apparel.
While the stars that are hitting the course have not yet been named, personalities such as Bill Murray, Alice Cooper and Kurt Russell might be interested in taking part, after playing in a number of golf tournaments over the years.
