Ochoa tops ranking at end of season

Golfer Lorena Ochoa has finished the year at the top and been awarded the prize for player of the year, in today's golf news.

After donning her golf apparel and coming second in the LPGA Tour Championship she is now at the top of the list of female players.

Pictures of Ochoa posing with her Player of the Year trophy published on USA Today show the star sporting an argyle golf jumper with diamond pattern, teamed with a golf shirt and black golf trousers.

This is the fourth year in a row that Ochoa has scooped the Player of the Year accolade and as well as the prize, she won her fourth consecutive Vare Trophy.

Commenting, she said: "I always say that I want to stay at the top as long as I continue playing, so this is just a great year for me. It's been tough in many different ways, but the important thing is I'm at the top."
