Lorena Ochoa's golf clothing will be missed, one journalist has said.Lorena Ochoa's golf fashion is going to be sorely missed, according to one journalist.

The women's world number one recently announced her retirement from the LPGA and is set to reveal her reasons for doing so in a press conference scheduled for today (April 23rd).

And commenting on the news, Golf Week's Ashley Crain explained while she will miss the 28-year-old's prowess on the course, she is also disappointed she will no longer get the chance to see her strutting her stuff in her "vibrant" and "colourful" golf apparel.

"Ochoa just – and I mean just – broke out of her tomboy phase and brought a new feminine flair into her wardrobe," she explained.

The Mexican is bringing the curtain down on a highly-successful career that spanned eight years - winning 27 times in the past six seasons.

She has only missed the cut four times in 172 LPGA events.

In addition to a multitude of accolades from previous years, Ochoa was named as the Rolex player of the year and Golf Writers Association of America's best female athlete of the year in 2009.
