Golf clothing used to be reserved for male golfers - but now women have the same chance to embrace golf fashion and look stylish when teeing off.

Women taking to the golf course may find themselves spoiled for choice when picking out their golf apparel for a game.

According to Dick Totino, female golf clothing has "exploded in items, styles, sizes and colours".

Writing for Saratoga, Mr Totino says that when he recently visited a golf clothing and accessories shop, he was amazed by the amount of female golf fashion on offer.

"Further wanderings throughout the store demonstrated even more the expansion of not only clothing but equipment as well that is directed toward the female gender," he notes.

Now, Mr Totino says he plans to start inviting his wife to don her golf apparel and join him on the course.

Pop star Kylie Minogue has recently hinted at plans to design a range of golf clothing for women.
