A tribute to the Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallcher may see fans investing in some official golf clothing from the competition.

There may be several people looking to buy Ryder Cup shirts in the future, after seeing former captain of the prestigious tournament Bernard Gallcher lead the 275th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Burgess.He was not the only big name on the bill for the event, with ex-BBC commentator Alex Hay and broadcaster Ed "Stewpot" Stewart for a Sportsman's Dinner.
Club captain at the Royal Burgess Neil Scott told the Scotsman: "The evening was a great success with Bernard accepting Honorary Membership of the Society and relating a few Ryder Cup stories, while Alex was also on top form."
