Golf clothing can have its place in a businesslike dress code, one executive claimsGolf clothing can offer the first step towards striking a balance between business and casual dress codes, it has been claimed.

The Baltimore Sun reports that a golf shirt can be teamed with jeans and a blazer to hit the business casual nail on the head.

Insurance account executive Darryl Hogge is one proponent of the look and explains to the publication his choices.

"Part of presenting is first impressions; how you look, how you present yourself," he asserts.

"So, I look at it as a package."

And, in the case of Mr Hogge, that package begins with golf clothing and ends with jeans and a blazer.

While he claims not to be a keen follower of fashion, his tastes could go a fair way towards getting him on to the catwalk.

The Union-Tribune recently recommended golf clothing as the ideal Christmas gift for loved ones with a taste for fine fashion.
