Scottish golfers are set to take part in a charity event to raise money for the care of those who suffer from Parkinson's disease.Those taking part may want to invest in a golf sweater or waterproof golf jacket to ensure they keep warm and dry while teeing off.
The Scotsman reports that the event will take place on April 22nd at the Kingsknowe Golf Club.
Money raised will be donated to a special unit at the Western General hospital.
The event is being organised by Dorothy and John Barclay, who live in Joppa.
Mr Barclay has had Parkinson's disease for more than 20 years.
A celebrity golf tournament is to take place for charity in the US, reports the Bradenton Herald.
Boxer Floyd Mayweather, as well as fellow athletes Lawrence Taylor, former major league pitcher Shane Rawley, former basketball player Julius Erving and a host of other stars are confirmed to take part, according to the source.
