Beckham swaps his football kit for items of golf apparel when teeing off in the US.
Published: 15 September 2009
Football star David Beckham has been photographed playing golf at a course in Los Angeles - but the Daily Mail newspaper was critical of his on-course apparel. In pictures published in the newspaper, Beckham is seen wearing over the knee shorts and a casual black t-shirt, with golf apparel such as golf shoes and a golf shirt missing from his ensemble.
The source called his golf outfit a "sight to drive fear into the heart of any self-respecting golf club secretary".
Many golf clubs, such as St Andrews in Scotland, enforce strict rules about the type of golf apparel which people are allowed to wear on their courses.
Some still insist that when taking to the golf course, players wear a collared golf shirt.
In the shots, Beckham is seen to miss a shot, which leaves him clearly antagonised.
He then throws his golf club on the ground before retreating to his golf buggy.
