Golf apparel was replaced with business suits at the Northern Trust OpenGolf apparel could be a wise investment for business workers from US bank the Northern Trust.

The Associated Press reports that executives from the financial services provider have previously appeared early at the Northern Trust Open, a golf tournament sponsored by the bank.

But this year was different as business suits replaced the golf apparel previously seen on the course.

Michael Yamaki, a corporate officer for the venue which hosted the event, the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, makes the observation.

"You could tell they were really tightening their belts and doing this for business," he says.

"All the executives I saw were in coats and ties, not golf clothes."

But they may have missed out on the relaxation of a round of golf that could have taken their minds off of the economy for a morning.

Glenmuir's golf shirts could help to guarantee relaxation for budding golfers heading out on to the course.

The combed cotton golf shirts can help to make sure that the only distraction is your opponent's performance - and not the comfort of your golf apparel.
