One golf tutor has provided readers with advice on the issues to consider when buying golf clothing or other gifts this Christmas.

Seasonal golf clothing can make the ideal gift whether to a professional or to a budding enthusiast, it has been claimed.Writing for the Topsail Advertiser, Joyce Wilcox explains that "anything to keep the avid golfer warm in the winter is a good buy".
This can encompass all aspects of golf clothing, she adds, ranging from weatherproof golf outerwear to snug hats.
Sweatshirts, jackets and gloves to help keep those hands warm while on the grip are all also recommended.
For those who are unsure of which golf gifts to give, however, vouchers are suggested.
Ms Wilcox explains that these allow the golfer to go out and select the ideal golf gifts to meet their needs.
And with clubs typically coming with different makes, models, flexes and lies, she adds that trying to choose the right option is "way too complicated".
The golf tutor previously warned against allowing a club to become loose at the top of the backswing, as the resultant friction can expose a glove to excessive wear.
