One lucky golfer got to play a round with Tiger Woods and take home some of the star's golf clothing recently.

It only took a moment for John Simons to win some golf clothing hand delivered by Tiger Woods, reports Philadelphia Daily News.

The lucky winner explains that he receives emails when a new competition is available to enter online.

And while he doesn't expect to win, he takes a minute or two each day to put his name forward, just in case.

That is how he came to win the Tee It Up With Tiger contest - the reward for which included Tiger-branded golf clothing, first-class transportation and a round with the star himself.

"We were all so into our game and in awe about actually playing the course," he tells the publication.

"Next thing you know people are clipping microphones on and there are cameras all around and then there's Tiger."

Woods himself has been making headlines recently as it has been revealed that Buick will no longer sponsor his golf bag.
