Golf clothing has been suggested as a way of putting in place a more comfortable dress code for Hazleton students.

Students in Hazleton should be allowed to wear golf clothing, it has been suggestedGolf clothing has been proposed as part of a new dress code for high school students in the Hazleton area.

The Standard Speaker reports Jared O'Donnell's recommendation of golf clothing as a comfortable and performance-enhancing alternative to strict outfit guidelines.

Other garments to make his shortlist as "acceptable" include hooded sweaters, shorts and T-shirts, as long as they meet a number of recommendations.

These include the need for bottoms - whether shorts or skirts - to be no further than three inches above the knee.

Meanwhile, all upper body garments must have sleeves - which could make golf apparel an ideal option.

Golf apparel is listed alongside polo shirts and button-down tops as suitable for students to wear in the three-page proposal.

The Standard Speaker reported earlier this year that celebratory golf shirts had been created to help raise funds for 75-year-old annual event Ukrainian Seminary Day, which provides financial support for Ukrainian Catholic institutions in the US.
