Golf apparel fans liked Rickie Fowler's outfits this year.

Hundreds of sports fans have had their say on which professional player on the PGA Tour circuit has worn the best golf clothing throughout this season.

According to a poll conducted on the PGA Tour's Facebook page, around 225 supporters of golf fashion voted to crown the best dressed player of 2010, Khaki Crusader columnist Annmarie Dodd noted.

And US Ryder Cup team star Rickie Fowler and John Daly, the traditionally-flamboyant veteran, came out on top.

However, Ms Dodd disagreed with these decisions and stated: "I'm at a loss, the Tour and many of its followers don't seem to get that best dressed has a different meaning than brightest-dressed."

She added that picking one player for the honour of having the best golf clothing was impossible, but sang the praises of professionals such as Ian Poulter, Michelle Wie and Matteo Manassero for their fashion sense.

This comes after Ms Dodd wrote recently that white polo shirts remain a "go-to" option for many players in which to enjoy a round.
