Ian Poulter is aiming for a good performance at the Singapore Open.

English golfer Ian Poulter has said he is upbeat about his prospects of reversing his recent run of mediocre form to compete for the Singapore Open at Sentosa Golf Club this week. The 34-year-old admitted he had been disappointed with some of the errors which crept into his game at last week's HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai, but insisted he is poised to return to the peak of his powers.
"I made a few silly mistakes last week," he told reporters. "But overall my game is in good shape, I'm making a lot of birdies."
Poulter - who is renowned for his flamboyant choice of golf apparel - added that he is looking to finish the current season with a string of good performances following a relatively disappointing summer.
Earlier in the week, the Hertfordshire star claimed that any of the world's top ten golfers have a good chance of overtaking Lee Westwood at the top of the rankings.
