Tiger Woods is defending his Australian Masters title.

Tiger Woods has started his defence of his Australian Masters title - the last honour currently in his possession - with a two-under-par opening round of 69 at Melbourne's Victoria Golf Club.Clad in pink and black golf apparel, the Californian ended his first round trailing joint leaders Alistair Prisnell, Adam Bland and Daniel Gaunt by four shots after a decent showing from tee to green was complemented by some disappointing putting.
"Every putt was just a little bit shy. I felt I was hitting them on all my lines but I wasn't hitting them hard enough," Woods explained. "If I just could have holed a few more putts, it could have been a really good round."
However, the 34-year-old said he had been pleased with his ball-striking and claimed it had been an improvement on that witnessed at the HSBC Champions event in Shanghai last week.
