Orange golf apparel failed to inspire Padraig Harrington to defend his title at the Johor Open in Malaysia yesterday (November 21st).The Irish professional finished in joint third place with James Morrison of England and Welshman Rhys Davies after carding a total tournament score of 13 under par, some two strokes behind the Dutch winner Joost Luiten.
Harrington - who has won three major titles in his career - sported an orange and red horizontal-striped golf shirt with beige trousers and white shoes for his last round of the rain-affected competition - which first took place in 2007 - at the Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club.
However, he did not manage to retain the crown he won last year despite posting a final round of 69.
The 40-year-old declared himself a "little disappointed" with the end result, but added: "I'm happy with my form, I'm happy with the way I'm playing - and most of all I'm happy with where my head was at."
