Golf news: Kings of Leon confess to love of golf
Published: 13 January 2010
US rock band the Kings of Leon have confessed that the delay in releasing their new album is partly down to a passion for donning golf clothing and spending the day teeing off.The band, who hail from Tennessee, are made up of brothers Anthony, Ivan and Michael Followill and their cousin, Cameron Followill, but the members all choose to go by their middle names when appearing with the group.
According to a source quoted in the Sun the band love nothing more than heading out to the golf course and as a result, have spent little time in the studio recording tracks for their new album.
"They love golf, they can't get enough of it. Nathan [Ivan] is a brilliant player but Caleb [Anthony] is having a good go and snapping at his heels," the source said.
While an argyle sweater may prove too hot to wear on a golf course in Tennessee, the group could find that performance golf shirts help them to keep cool in the state's hot climate and play to the best of their ability.
