The colour of one's golf trousers is not important when playing a round of the game, one player has argued.

Golfer Alastair Forsyth recently told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper that he is quite happy wearing his plain golf apparel while out on the course.Following claims that he and his golfing partner Gary Orr were dressed too plainly at the Italian Open last week, Mr Forsyth said that he would not be taking a leaf out of John Daly's book and dressing more brightly.
John Daly finished second at the Italian Open and each day entertained crowds with his brightly-coloured outfits.
But Mr Forsyth will not be dressing in this way at the Irish Open, he told the Daily Record.
The claim that brighter clothes would help to lighten the players' moods and maybe even be worth a couple of shots is "utter nonsense", he said.
Instead, he is looking forward to wearing his traditional golf apparel for the Irish Open, where he will be trying to climb up the rankings from his current position of 88th.
