Golfer Colin Montgomerie may be swapping his golf apparel for a different outfit today, as he celebrates his birthday.

Golfer Colin Montgomerie is marking his 46th birthday today (June 23rd).Born Colin Stuart Montgomerie in 1963, the golfer - known worldwide as Monty - first became a professional in 1987.
Two decades and hundreds of golf fashion outfits later, the Scotsman has taken part in eight Ryder Cups and has been victorious in more European Tour tournaments than any other British golfer.
Over his professional career, Montgomerie has played in many different tournaments, including the Omega Mission Hills World Cup in China, which he and Marc Warren won in 2007.
1999 was a big year for Montgomerie and saw him win the Benson and Hedges International Open, the Volvo PGA Championship, the Standard Life Loch Lomond tournament, the Volvo Scandinavian Masters, the BMW International Open and the Cisco World Matchplay Championship.
His first professional victory was in the Portuguese Open in 1989.
Montgomerie recently lent his support to the bid to see golf added to the events in the 2016 Olympics.
