On course golf apparel is often interesting and eye-catching.A sports writer and fan of golf has detailed what he believes are the best moments ever seen in the game.

And one of the great golf moments that Fergus Bisset mentions features the golf fashion of one well-known player.

Mr Bisset notes that when watching a TV show counting down the best music albums since the 80s, he was struck by the thought of what were the best golf moments.

And in at number nine was a moment which saw golfer Jack Nicklaus take off his yellow golf sweater and play to victory at the 18th hole of a tournament.

Nicklaus was playing in the play-off for the 1970 Open Championship.

Top of Mr Bisset's best of golf list is a moment seen during the Open Championship in 1984.

"Number one has to be Seve's classic celebration on the 18th green at St Andrews after holing the putt that wins him the 1984 Open Championship," he says.

He goes on to ask whether any other man has ever looked as cool as Seve - who is nicknamed the Golden Bear - did at that moment.
