Within golf fashion, two trends are noted - one modern, one more traditional.

The more modern of the two is a chance to ignore the accepted rules of golf fashion and instead wear bright colours and patterns.

However, those considering adopting such an approach are warned that they should be prepared to make the statement their golf clothing will represent.

More traditional golf clothing options hark back as far as the 1970s or even to the golden days of the 30s to 50s, World Golf adds.
