There may be more fans at the Fifa World Cup dressed in golf apparel than expected, after several professionals revealed they are keen football fans.Top German player Martin Kaymer told Golf 365 he follows Bayern Munich and is most excited about seeing Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo take to the field in the competition.
But do not expect to see him dressed in golf apparel attending the final, since he believes Germany may be knocked out in the semis and predicts the Dutch will win the trophy.
Meanwhile, Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal has turned out to be a Barcelona fan when he is not out on the links in golf apparel and he put forward Spain and England - as well as Brazil and Argentina - as potential winners.
"I think England can do well because they have a winning coach. But can the players unite? We will see," he told the online news source.
The World Cup begins today (June 11th) with hosts South Africa playing the first game against Mexico, while England do not begin their campaign until tomorrow, when they face the USA.
