Golfers go head-to-head in tournament finalGolfers Paul Lowey and Daryl Callister are getting ready to put on their golf shoes and take to the course in the final of the Grant Thornton Island Championship 2009.

Isle of Man Today reports that there were joyous scenes at Mount Murray Golf Club yesterday (July 23rd), as Callister beat Andrew Challenor.

Now, Callister will take on odds-on favourite Lowey tomorrow, in what the source notes will be a "truly memorable" event.

However, Callister may have all the support of the spectators at the event, as the news resource points out that he is the home favourite.

"Callister's great leveller will surely come in the form of the partisan home crowd that will be cheering and willing his every shot," it said.

According to the Isle of Man Today website, history and form are in Callister's favour, as he has already won the Championship twice.

Furthermore, he has played for the Isle of Man's senior squad for a number of years.
